Leaving summer behind, and welcoming in Autumn has been a bitter sweet experience for me, for many years. Saying goodbye to the vacation time with family and friends, and to the long days and warm sunshine, but looking forward to starting the new school term. Recently, for the last ten years, late August into early September is when my beloved Mum passed away, and it's a tough couple of months, but life does go on.
So last week, I said goodbye to one job and started another, and it was a with a mixture of emotions that I began a new chapter of my own story. The excitement and trepidation of the first day, trying to remember everyone's names, and figure out what to do. Then the dip and doubt of midweek, where you flounder, and think have I done the right thing, and getting used to the new world. Finally, the end of the week when you've made it through the dark point, and there's a light ahead, a sparkle in your eye and a spring in your step. Not unlike starting a new story, whether you are a writer or a reader. This weekend, I will be publishing the first chapter of my new novella - Invitation to Infinity - so if you like new beginnings, be sure to check back. Have a great week, don't be a stranger. Love Tasha x
